‘Gakpo may be getting short break: PSV sees him as an option for CL preliminary round’

It could be that Cody Gakpo only gets ten days of vacation. The PSV attacker is an option for the first CL preliminary round game with Galatasaray on July 21st for the Eindhoven club.
Gakpo is part of the selection of the Dutch team that hopes to get to the European Championships. The final of the tournament will be played on July 11, and in the event that De Boer‘s men make that final battle, it could be a very short break for the Einwizard. The first Champions League preliminary meeting with Cim Bom is scheduled for July 21, ten days after the European Champions League finals.
According to the Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV sees Gakpo as an option for that race, so he might have to go back to jail ten days after a possible EK final. If the Dutch team reaches the semifinal it has to take place on Wednesday 7 July and should the Orange win from the Czechs, it will play against Denmark on Saturday 3 July. In that case, the Eindhoven attacker would have fourteen and eighteen days’
rest ‘respectively.
The match against the Turks is so important for PSV that the club is likely to be very keen to join as strong as possible formation. Whether that will be with Donyell Malen and Denzel Dumfries should be shown in the coming weeks. They are in the interest of several foreign clubs. At Gakpo, that’
s not yet the case.

At PSV, Gakpo is just an option for the #Galatasaray game on July 21st. Possibly short break for him. Question is if Malen, Dumfries are a PSV contract player. Normally not, of course.
