Gakpo tries to explain PSV draw: ‘Not pure and pace too slow’

Cody Gakpo is very upset by PSV‘s disappointing draw against FK Bodø/Glimt in the first group match in the Europa League. The attacker still prevented a defeat (1-1) with his goal, but he realizes that things have to be improved.
Gakpo acknowledges that the draw feels like a defeat. Yes, I think so. I think we could have won tonight, if we had made slightly better decisions. We were not clean about the ball, and the ball pace was too slow. I think everyone kept to the agreements, but then it will be very difficult to get through. We have to work on that, says the Eindhoven star player at ESPN.
The fact that PSV did not manage to keep zero even before the eighteenth game in a row is also of concern. Bodø/Glimt was also dangerous several times on Thursday evening. Indeed, they were given a lot of opportunities, we have to look closely at that too. That can’
t happen, we should have just won this competition, concludes Gakpo.

18 – PSV have now conceded a goal in their last 18 games in all competitions, including in each of their last eight home games, their longest run at home since March 2012. leaky. pic.twitter.com/x2ExfUR2DI
