Epic Games has announced that it is introducing a Gaming Achievement System for projects in its store. The first games will take over this feature as early as next week, with more to come before the end of the year. For starters, players will be able to start gaining experience in some games, including Rocket League, Hades , Pillars of Eternity, Humankind, Zombie Army 4, Defense Grid, and others.
Achievements, like Sony‘s, are divided in rarity from bronze to platinum. And you can track your successes on a dedicated page.
Previously, the “Developer Achievement” tool was available in the store, meaning studios could enter their own achievement systems and manage them. Achievements gained through this system won’t go anywhere, but the new feature will link different approaches and give players more options.
