Game director of God of War: Ragnarok reveals what to expect from the story

Eric Williams, Game Director of God of War: Ragnarok, revealed some details about the plot of the future game. In the first part ending, Kratos learns that his dead wife Faye was a giant & mdash; consequently, his son Atrea runs the blood not only of a god, but also of a giant. But why didn‘t the spouse tell the hero that? And since Kratos is now unable to ask Faye that question, part of the plot will be built around this issue.

Where to look for answers? And how do you build a life for a child with great power? Williams notes that since the release of God of War, fans have had a lot of questions. And the team’s job is to answer them and, at the same time, throw up new ones.

Apparently, this means that in Ragnarok, the relationship between Kratos and his older son will play the same important role in storytelling, as before. And the topic of family values will be paid even more attention as the hero will be avenged by the relatives of the murdered Baldr โ€” brother Thor and mother Freya.

Kratosom, Williams noted that โ€œit‘s too insightful a conclusion from the trailer. โ€ So it is possible that Freya’s motivation and role in general will not be as unambiguous as one might think now.

And overall, the creators are sure to prepare a lot of surprises for fans. God of War: Ragnarok will be released next year on PS4 and PS5.
