Games help Russians cope with stress and develop skills

More than half of Russians cope with stress through games. This data was shared by the VK Play playground. Russians interviewed as part of the study noted that stress is mainly helped by strategies, puzzles and simulators.

The list of the most popular genres also includes action games, role-playing games (RPGs) and sports simulators. For about a third of Russians, games are an integral part of social life.

Study participants believe that games help to develop comprehensively. The list includes critical thinking (47%), improved coordination and motor skills (43%), leadership skills (30%) and communication (23%).

VK Play previously reported that 81% of Russians prefer mobile games, 66% โ€” computer games, another 27% โ€” console games. Console players and PC gamers prefer racing and shooters.

But fans of mobile games love puzzles, board games, races, shooters and simulators.
