Germany: nerve gas novitsjok found at Russian opposition leader Navalny

German researchers have found traces of the nerve gas Novichok at the Russian opposition leader Navalny

That was announced by the German government. Novichok is also the nerve gas with which the Russian spy Sergey Skripal was poisoned in England in 2018.

Navalny was rushed to hospital a week and a half ago when he became unwell in a plane from Siberia to Moscow. His spokesman immediately said that he had been poisoned, although the Russian authorities disagree.

After some time the opposition leader was transferred to a hospital in Berlin for investigation.
