Goalkeeper Sweet trades PSV for Series A debutant Spezia

Jeroen Zoet will continue his career in Italy. After fourteen years the 29-year-old goalkeeper will exchange PSV for Spezia, the club that will play for the first time in the Serie A next season.

At the age of 15, Zoet was taken over by PSV from BV Veendam. In 2013 he made his debut in the first team in Eindhoven, after he had already played for two years on a rental basis for RKC Waalwijk.

At PSV Zoet finally came into action in 260 games. He became champion three times with the people of Eindhoven. At the end of 2019 Zoet lost his base place to Lars Unnerstall, after which he was leased to FC Utrecht after the winter break.

Also this season there was little perspective for Zoet, who signed for two years with Spezia, and PSV, which strengthened with the Swiss goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.
