Goldfinger-actress Margaret Nolan died

Margaret Nolan, the actress who gained worldwide reputation as the gold painted model from the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger, died at the age of 76. This reports Variety.

Nolans role in Goldfinger was small, but iconic. Images of her golden body appeared on posters, books and plates. After her reputation as a Goldfinger model, she refused the opportunity to travel the world for two years in that capacity, because she wanted to work on her acting career.

Born in London, the actress was featured in various productions during the 60s and 70s, both in films and on stage. In the mid-80s she temporarily stepped out of the film world, to return in 2011. Meanwhile, Nolan had developed a different passion and focused on photomontages. This led to several exhibitions in galleries in London.

The actress leaves behind two sons, Oscar and Luke.
