Gravenberch leaves Ajax with weird feeling: Im going to leave everyone behind

Ryan Gravenberch leaves Ajax with ‘a bit of a weird feeling. After twelve years, the twenty-year-old midfielder leaves for Bayern Munich, which, according to Gravenberch, has a good plan for him.
โ€œIt‘s still a bit weird, I’ve played for Ajax all my life,โ€ says Gravenberch about his transfer in his farewell interview. โ€œIt gives a strange feeling that I am now taking a step to another club. I‘m not going to see my teammates, trainers and physios anymore. I’m going to leave them all behind.โ€
When did Gravenberch secretly start thinking about leaving Ajax? โ€œThat was at the end of last year, around November and December,โ€ replies the native Amsterdammer. โ€œThen I started thinking: maybe it would be nice to take a step.โ€
โ€œFor myself, I had the feeling: I want a new challenge,โ€ Gravenberch continues. โ€œThat‘s what Bayern Munich has become. What plans do they have for me? I have to tell you that right now, because I have often said that they have a good plan. They see me as a left and right controller and a good player. It’s up to me to show that.โ€
