Green light for Formula 1 Zandvoort early September

The Formula 1 race at the Zandvoort circuit can continue. The government will give green light for that tomorrow, sources of The Hague report.

It is a multi-day event, but there are no overnight stays at the location and there are fixed seats on the outdoor stands.

The Dutch Grand Prix takes place on the first weekend of September. Trainings and qualification are on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday afternoon is the race.

Access Requirements

Access requirements are likely to apply, such as a vaccination certificate or a recent negative corona-virus test. Under these conditions, the stands in the North Holland seaside resort may be filled with public for two thirds.

Max Verstappen is engaged in a fierce battle with Lewis Hamilton for the world title. The Englishman has eight points ahead. ‘Zandvoort’ is the thirteenth grand prix of the season.
