“Guardians of the Galaxy” is unique as Alien: Isolation — and other details from the interview

Representatives of Eidos Montreal in a fresh video GameInformer shared details of Guardians of the Galaxy, noting a number of features of the project. For example, the gameplay is uniquely compared to something like Alien: Isolation. That is, the gameplay will stand out against all other games even years later — Alien even after 7 years is unmistakeable.

The games battles were created with the gameplay as well as storytelling. Developers were required to convey the team spirit of the squad at the same time and highlight each hero against the rest — again, both gameplay and story.

Players are only directly controlled by Peter, whereas the rest of the Guardians will only act under his command — Rocket attacks with firearms, Groot is nearby with him and defends, Gamora is focused on one enemy and Drax tries to control the crowd. We call our system single timple.

Playing it alone? you will still create a team feel. With this, the developers tried to create levels so that players dont run away, but learn the surroundings and listen to talks between members team — for example, seeing some unusual subject, you can pay attention to it, and a unique dialogue will begin.

As a result, there are a lot of replicas in the game — about twice as many as Deus Ex (it is not specified which). All this is done to create magic.

Sometimes you can put the gamepad aside and just listen to a lot of dialogues designed specifically for quiet moments. Most of all, Eidos feared that replicas might start to repeat itself, causing the magic to collapse — the output was a huge number of unique scenes.

Guardians recall their former adventures, share past merits, tell anecdotes. Guardians of the Galaxy is released on October 26 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC.
