Haaland steals Manchester City season-opening show

Manchester City did not make a mistake on Sunday and, unlike Manchester United and Liverpool, won the first game of the season. Out at West Ham United, Pep Guardiolas team won 0-2, after two goals by newcomer Erling Haaland.
At Manchester City, Ilkay Gündogan started as captain and the new striker Haaland started directly in the base. Nathan Aké played with coach Guardiola
s team throughout the game. At West Ham United, the new striker Gianluca Scamacca still had to take a seat on the bench. The Italian still collapsed in the 57th minute.
Manchester City didnt play the best football they can in the opening game of the season. Nevertheless, it was already a hit for The Citizens in the first half. Haaland ran into the sixteen meters in the 35th minute and was knocked down by goalkeeper Alphonse Aréola. The French closing post had entered the lines seven minutes earlier for the injured Lukasz Fabianski. Haaland received the penalty and shot him against the ropes himself. In doing so, the Norwegian super striker scored his first goal in the Premier League.
In the second half, Manchester City continued to push through and this eventually came the second goal. Kevin De Bruyne gave up a brilliant ball again Haaland, leaving him to go for the goalkeeper alone. The 22-year-old Norwegian had no doubts and coolly shot into the 0-2 in the 65th minute.
Manchester City has thus started the race for the third league title in a row. Haaland took advantage of his two goals in the Community Shield game. There, Manchester City lost 3-1 to Liverpool and the striker was left without goals.
