Haller shares reason for Ajax transfer: ‘I knew he would be here too ‘

Sébastien Haller is happy that Sean Klaiber also plays with Ajax. The two left a good friendship to their mutual period at FC Utrecht and that is now continued in the Johan Cruijff Arena.
The French Ivorian soon noticed that he had a like-minded person to Klaiber. “We have known each other for a long time and at Utrecht we already had a good band,” says the striker to Ajax TV. “I think that‘s because we have a lot of similarities. What we do, how we look at things, the mentality we have. Our families are also very close.”
In January, Ajax decided to take over Haller from West Ham United for over 22 million euros. Thanks to Klaiber, that immediately felt good for the strong attacker. “When I came here, it was really nice to know that he was already in this club. Besides, I was sure he’
d be happy with it. We‘ll be friends for a long time, that’s for sure.”
Last Sunday Klaiber and Haller took their first prize with Ajax. The cup final against Vitesse was won with 2-1 and next Thursday the two will be facing their old club Utrecht.
