Heerenveen can say no to Veerman candidates: ‘Depends on what City has to offer…’

On Saturday, SC Heerenveen kicked off against Willem II with two Veerman men: prodigal son Henk and excellent Joey. The Frisians are determined to keep Joey Veerman, although they realise that the controller is on the lists of larger clubs. Earlier this summer, Heerenveen extended the contract of the 21-year-old Volendammer until 2024. Technical manager Gerry Hamstra, however, is not yet counting himself rich and hopes that no crazy things will happen in the last month of the transfer period. That is well known.
