Heerenveen seems to lose wingplayer: ‘I am ready for something new’

Mitchell van Bergen hopes to leave this summer at sc Heerenveen. The fast wing attacker says he is ready to face a new challenge and goes to listen to proposals.
Van Bergen has another contract for one year in Friesland and does not intend to renew it. โ€œI am ready for a new challenge with a fresh environment,โ€ he says to the Friesch Dagblad. โ€œIf I have to stay for another year, I will try to develop my full life here. But if something comes up this summer, Im definitely going to take a look at it.โ€
Heerenveen finished twelfth in the Eredivisie this season and had one of the few players in Van Bergen who made the difference every now and then. The winger, who came across from Vitesse in 2018, competed in 32 league matches and scored four goals. He also prepared two hits from teammates.
