Helicopters again save dozens of people from California forest fires

Helicopters saved even more people today from the California forest fires. At least 46 people and four dogs who got into trouble at Lake Edison have been brought to safety, reports the National Guard of California. Over 200 people have been rescued by helicopter in recent days.

In addition, more than 170,000 households are without power. The BBC reports that the electricity has been switched off deliberately, so that the sparks from the electricity cables do not cause new fires. These are households in 22 different districts.
