Hengelman (ex-Ajax) can end quest and become teammate Manolev

Nick Hengelmans search has come to an end: the transfer-free former goalkeeper of Ajax, among others, will be working for OFK Pirin from Bulgaria.
Hengelman (31) was under contract with Ajax last season, where he trained with Jong Ajax for a year. The goalkeeper received a lot of media attention after he put his formal resignation letter on social media.
In the search for a new club, Hengelman, who also has a past with Heracles Almelo, AGOVV, Vitesse, Achilles
29, FC Oss, FC Twente and Ajax Cape Town, did not go over one night of ice and eventually Pirin (from Blagoevgrad) got his signature. He is going to play with former PSV player Stanislav Manolev. In the Bulgarian competition, PFK Ludogorets, Sergio Padts club, is leading the lead.
โ€œI expected that there would be more concrete interest, also because I have Ajax on my CV,โ€ Hengelman recently told VoetbalPrimeur about the lack of concrete Dutch interest. โ€œMy last match in the Netherlands was five years ago, but in South Africa at Ajax Cape Town I didn
t miss a minute. The goalkeepers here are a bit more famous, but Im not inferior to most goalkeepers in the Kitchen Champion Division.โ€
