Hong Kong activist Agnes Chow released

In Hong Kong activist Agnes Chow was released. At the end of last year, she was sentenced to ten months in jail for involvement in the mass protests against China. Why she‘s released after seven months is unknown.

Agnes Chow (24) made no statement to the mass-flowed press after her release. She was picked up by friends and fellow activists and disappeared in a car:

In recent years, Hong Kong has been continuously demonstrated for greater democracy and against China’s growing influence. Besides Chow, the well-known activist Joshua Wong and Ivan Lam were arrested.

They all confessed to be guilty of organizing the mass protest of June 12, 2019, when an estimated one million people were on their feet. Wong is still stuck, Lam has been given asylum in the UK.
