Sony launched Horizon Forbidden West pre-orders for PS4 and PS5 this week, and players were left disappointed that buyers of the PS4 version were not offered the option of free (or even with a small a surcharge) April to PS5. A because PlayStation chief Jim Ryan was talking about this possibility last year. But now Ryan has posted a fresh message about the situation and assured that owners of Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 will be able to upgrade to PS5.
The executive noted that last years statement was about the launch crossgen line of the new console, and Horizon Forbidden West had to be postponed after that — apparently, thats why the company didnt provide for a free upgrade this week. In addition, Ryan confirmed that the upcoming crossgen-exclusives PlayStations coming out on PS4 and PS5 in digit or on discs will be able to upgrade to a version for the current-generation console for $10.
This concerns including the new God of War and Gran Turismo 7. Recall Horizon Forbidden West will be released on February 18, 2022 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
