Hot air balloon flies against museum near Lake Como and deals damage

A hot air balloon has flown into the Tempio Voltiano Museum at Lake Como, Italy. The collision fell an ornament of the almost hundred-year-old building.

Footage from a local fire chief shows that the hot air balloon hits a few trees first and then flies against the museum. Nobody got hurt.

inews24 reports that the collision happened around 8am yesterday morning. A sudden gust of wind may have been the cause.

The hot air balloon shows a Dutch registration, but the balloon ride was carried out by an Italian company. That company wasnt reachable for comment.

The hot air balloon is originally from the Netherlands, the former owner tells deCCeit. He sold the balloon half a year ago and confirms that it went to Italy.
