Bandai Namco continues to talk about the upcoming horror The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes — this time the developers shared an interview with actress Ashley Tisdale, who performed one of the main roles in the game. Her heroine, Rachel, is a CIA agent — along with other characters, she took part in a mission to detect chemical weapons. The events of the game take place in 2003.
The actress admitted that she had nothing in common with Rachel, but she really liked the idea of playing the role. It was a truly unique experience for her: Not only has Tisdale never played a CIA agent in movies or television, but she has never acted in a horror movie, even though she knows the genre.
Actress believes players will love House of Ashes – its very dark and scary, but at the same time it has plenty of action and adventure. Among her favourite characters, Tisdale also noted another heroine – Claris.
House of Ashes will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series on October 22. The preboot is due to begin on October 20.
Earlier, the developers showed the games gameplay, in which they elaborated on choices and consequences.
