Huddersfield sends Eiting back to Ajax after surgery: ‘No short rehabilitation’

Carel Eiting returns early to Ajax. Thats what Huddersfield Town manager Carlos Corberán announced at the press conference for the match against Millwall. Eiting suffered a severe knee injury at the Championship Club.

Carel is going to rehabilitate at Ajax, because he also had surgery there (in the Netherlands, red.). We know the surgery went well, but Ajax is going to monitor his rehab. We know its not going to be a short rehabilitation. Corberán expressed the expectation to miss Eiting for about three months.
Eiting was well off at the Championship Club and had a great time there. I play on all three positions in the midfield. Sometimes as a defensive midfielder, sometimes on 8 in between and sometimes on 10, which makes me more versatile, he said earlier in conversation with Voetbal International.
Huddersfield made the choice with Ajax regarding the rehabilitation of Eiting. The Amsterdam club has decided to keep the midfielder in the Netherlands, in order to be able to keep an eye on the rehabilitation. Eiting is still under contract with Ajax until mid-2023.

CC: Carel Eiting is making the recovery at Ajax because he has the surgery there. We know his surgery was good, but now Ajax need to control his rehabilitation and control this situation. We know it wont be a short-term injury. #htafc
