In a violent prison outbreak in Haiti on Thursday, 400 detainees escaped and 25 people died.
On Friday (local time), local authorities only announced exactly how many people escaped and died in the major outbreak in the capital of the Caribbean country, Port-au-Prince.
The outbreak included the death of the director of the prison, as well as at least six detainees. Who the other eighteen people were, is still unclear.
The national police have now recovered 40 prisoners from the Croix-des-Bouquets prison. Authorities have returned control of the prison, let Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe of Haiti know. One of the escaped prisoners is Arnel Joseph, a powerful gang leader in Haiti.
