Hungary stunts, England relegates

Hungary booked a handsome 0-1 victory over Germany on Friday night. This means that Hungarians are now leading Nations League Group 3. Italy was too strong domestically for England, which was relegated to Division B after a dramatic series.
The Hungarians got an early lead against Germany. From a corner, striker Adam Szalai worked into 0-1 in a truly beautiful way. The goal was reminiscent of a typical Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal.
Seven minutes after the break, Thomas Mรผller thought he would take care of the 1-1. The midfielder received the ball from Jonas Hofmann, after which he shot. Hofmann, however, was sidelined. Despite significantly more possession of the ball, the Germans were no longer able to repair the damage and must now give up the first place to Hungary.
The other game in group 3 was between Italy and England. The English have so far experienced a rather dramatic Nations League campaign. In the first five games, not one win was won. Even tonight, coach Gareth Southgates team failed to finish a victory. Giacomo Raspadori made the only hit of the evening in the 68th minute. The defeat in Milan has degraded England and will release the next edition of the Nations League in Division B. This Monday, the English can try to add some shine to this Nations League campaign. Then Germany is the opponent in-house.
