Club legend Tony Adams questions the arrival of Martin Odegaard to Arsenal. The Norwegian was brought in with a lot of drumroll by The Gunners, but according to Adams Arsenal doesnt need him at all.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praises the contribution of Odegaard, although Adams shows a completely different sound. “Arsenal has no need for Odegaard, if I may be honest,” says Adams at Premier League Productions. “Arsenal is better to use many new players for other positions. Arsenal has holes in the team and Odegaard doesnt fill them up. Defense has always been one of Arsenals weaknesses.”
“If youre technical director of Arsenal, youre not gonna get Odegaard, are you? Then you get good and strong defenders. I was also annoyed by the arrival of Nicolas Pépé and Willian. Why? You already have Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka, right?” , Adams wonders.
