Inevitable departure final: Davids leaves Portuguese low flyer

Edgar Davids left at SC Olhanense, Portugal. The 48-year-old practice master had to get the club promoted, but it didn‘t work out.
Davids was appointed to Olhanense in January. The Dutchman had to drive the club to the League 3, the new third level in Portugal. However, Davids failed, causing Olhanense to drop a level. In a statement, the club announces that Davids is no longer in front of the group. ‘
Sporting Clube Olhanense announces that Edgar Davids is no longer our trainer. We wish him the greatest possible personal and sporting success in the future.โ€
David‘s resignation had been in the air for a long time. About a month ago, President Luis Torres was still destructive to him. โ€œIn the sporting field, the decision to hire Davids was clearly catastrophic,โ€ the chairman wrote on his Facebook page. ‘I had such a suspicion, but unfortunately there were few other options. Our trainer has never been able to rebuild a bond with the team. There‘s no clear identity, no credible tactic…โ€
Torres also argued that the driving force behind David’
s arrival was โ€œpublicity and thus generating money.โ€ โ€œBut we are still waiting for the financial benefits. Davids has a big past as a player, but that means little or nothing. It was an exhaustive season in every way.โ€
