In the asylum seekers’ centre in Grave this afternoon a man was injured during a stabbing. The suspect, a 38 year old man, fled briefly but could be arrested by the police after a few hours.
The stabbing was preceded by an argument, reports Omroep Brabant. “Around 12.30 pm two residents got into an argument. A 38 year old man injured another man with a knife”, according to the police. The victim was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The suspect fled. The police immediately distributed a call on Burgernet with a description of the man. They explicitly warned him not to take any action himself. Around 14.30 hours the suspect was arrested. It is unclear where this happened and whether someone tipped off the police about the man’s whereabouts.
