Activision announced on a fresh quarterly report that the integration of Call of Duty: Warzone into Black Ops Cold War will take place in December at the same time as the start of the first season of the shooter Treyarch. Players will reportedly be able to use their layouts in both games — all content, including rewards from the Battle Pass and the Fresh Black Ops store, will move to Warzone as well. However, Modern Warfare players will also retain access to the battle royal.
It is not yet clear how the battle royale will work after the “integration”, because Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare use different engines (Warzone works on the basis of MW technologies), not to mention a lot of other details like different time to kill, balance of weapons and whatnot. Activision now notes that users will have a choice — play Warzone with « Modern Warfare content” or with “Black Ops content”.
