Christian Eriksen has heard again, reports Internazionale Director Beppe Marotta. The Dane posted a message in the Nerazzurri WhatsApp group.
Marotta told the Italian Rai Sport. Eriksen collapsed on Saturday at the EC-duel Denmark-Finland, after which the game was interrupted for almost two hours. However, according to the first reports from Denmark, he was relatively quick to know and even got back in touch with his teammates.
In the meantime, Eriksen has contacted his employer again. “That happened a few minutes ago,” Marotta said. “We are optimistic about his recovery. Denmarks medical staff told us the situation is under control.”
Eriksen will spend the night in Copenhagen hospital. What the rest of the tournament will look like for him and the Danes has yet to be seen. Its an aftermath, but Denmark lost 1-0 from Finland on Saturday and the next match against Belgium is scheduled for Thursday.
Inter CEO Marotta: “Christian Eriksen just sent a message on Inter whatsapp chat, it was few minutes ago. Were optimistic about Christian conditions, Denmark staff told us that the situation is under control”, he told Rai Sport. 🇩🇰 #Eriksen
