Invader Danjuma sees hero role undone by bizarre own goal

Arnaut Danjuma played a leading role at Villarreal on Sunday evening. The Dutch outsider seemed to make the winning goal for his team when visiting Atlético Madrid, but in the absolute final phase Atlético still came along the side.
Trainer Unai Emery had no place for Danjuma in his basic setup. Without the 24-year-old attacker, Villarreal got a head start at the Wanda Metropolitano after rest. Manu Trigueros shot in the 0-1 with a hard bang on behalf of last seasons Europa League winner. However, Atlético did not take long to get back to the same level. Luis Suárez made his first La Liga hit of the season at the indication of Ángel Correa.
