Alireza Jahanbakhsh has helped Iran with a goal in the World Cup qualifier against South Korea. The Feyenoorder headlined the equalizer against the ropes fifteen minutes before the end of the game, leaving the Asian top performer undecided.
Just after halftime Heung-Min Son opened the score for South Korea. This forced Iran to chase to defend the leading position in the group. In the end, Jahanbakhsh managed to save a point for Iran.

The draw keeps Iran at the lead, with ten points out of four duels. South Korea has accumulated eight points so far. Later on Tuesday evening, the United Arab Emirates and Iraq compete against each other in this group, with Bert van Marwijk and Dick Advocaat as national coaches respectively.
