Jong AZ strengthens with old Ajax acquaintance: ‘Seeing a huge drive every day’

Jong AZ has strengthened with Joshua Pynadath. The twenty-year-old American signs a contract until 2024 and wants to join the first team of the Alkmaar people as soon as possible.
AZ says that through the official channels. Despite his age, Pynadath already has quite a few big clubs behind his name. The striker previously played in the youth training course at Real Madrid and switched to Jong Ajax two years later. Pynadath did an internship at Chelsea lately but was unable to obtain a work permit on time. At the end of the season, Jong AZ gave him the opportunity to complete a training course, for which the American succeeded.
For Pynadath, his mission is clear: to join AZ‘s first team as soon as possible. โ€œI joined the team to train to see how it fit,โ€ says the attacker on the club site. โ€œImmediately I saw that this is a good place for me. The atmosphere in the dressing room suits me. The important thing is also: since day one, there has been good career planning for me from the club. We immediately started working on how I can build myself up for the next step, namely AZ’s first team.โ€
Head of Youth Training Paul Brandenburg is happy with the attacker. โ€œJoshua is a technically skilled player. A very good mover. He is able to complete the one against one duels, resulting in goals and assists. Every day, we see an enormous drive with him to get the most out of himself. Joshua has left such an impression that we want to continue with him. He has potential.โ€
