Juninho announces his departure from Olympique Lyon. After three years, it has (probably) been nice for the Brazilian, who is technical director at the club of trainer Peter Bosz.
Juninho was appointed technical director at Lyon in 2018. “I hope to end the season well and then its normally done,” he tells RMC Sport. “I said it would be for three years. Im going to think about it carefully, but normally it was for three years.”
“People think you do little as a technical director, but its mentally exhausting,” says Juninho. “I dont want to cross the border. Im thankful for the opportunity I got for the club, but I also gave the club a lot. That should not be forgotten either. I often say what the club gave me, but I also do a lot for the club myself. I want to rest a little bit now.”
Juninho was active as a player at SC Recife, Vasco da Gama, Olympique Lyon, Al-Gharafa and New York Red Bulls.
