The Golden Coach will be in the Amsterdam Museum from June until November next year. This means that the king will not use the carriage on Prinsjesdag that year.
This year he would leave it anyway, because the Golden Coach is being refurbished in The Hague. Experts from different countries are working on the refurbishment.
Normally, the Golden Carriage is used on Princess Day. On that day, the royal family rides the carriage to the Knights’ Hall. There, King Willem-Alexander delivers the speech from the throne.
Now that the carriage is in a museum, the King will have to go to the Knights’ Hall in a different way. Earlier he did this with another carriage, the Glass carriage. What do you think is a good means of transportation for the king?
