King Harald (83) in hospital examined more closely

King Harald was admitted to the State Hospital in Oslo because he suffered from his breathing. The Norwegian court informed this on Friday, following an earlier statement that the 83-year-old had been taken to the Rikshospitalet and had taken sick leave. King Harald is not infected with the coronavirus and is being investigated further, the palace added.

Crown Prince Haakon took over the official duties of his father on Friday, while Queen Sonja just went to Lillehammer as planned for the initiation of her restored former parental home Maihaugen.

This is now designed to show different periods in Sonjas life. This was initiated at the golden wedding of King Harald and Queen Sonja on 29 August 2018, which was also opened for the first time to the public and since then the restoration has continued. King Harald would have originally accompanied his wife to Lillehammer.
