Kitchen Champion Division: Cambuur retains leading position, Volendam and Jong Ajax pick out

SC Cambuur remains the leader in the Kitchen Champion Division. The Frisians won in their own house with 3-0 from Roda JC and saw competitor NAC Breda losing 2-0 at Almere City.

Cambuur takes the lead with 22 points, one more than Almere and four more than NAC, which has played one match less. De Graafschap, who won 2-1 from Jong PSV, stands third with 19 points.

Robert Mรผhren opened the score for Cambuur in the eleventh minute. The team of coach Henk de Jong left for rest to 2-0 via Giovanni Korte. Immediately in the second half, Jarchinio Antonia made it 3-0. Cambuur midfielder Mitchell Paulissen, former player of Roda JC, had to in the second half after his second yellow card of the field.

Cambuur may not yet call itself an official winner of the first period title. Thats because De Graafschap won 2-1 Jong PSV. The team from Doetinchem had fallen behind by a hit by Dennis Vos. Just before rest, De Graafschap came to an equal level, because Ralf Seuntjens used a penalty kick. Deep in injury time, Seuntjens still gave his team the victory. De Graafschap can still reach a level with Cambuur in the period, but profit seems impossible because the club from Leeuwarden has a much better goal balance.

NAC down

NAC, until last weekend still undefeated, suffered his second defeat of this season. The team missed several players due to a corona outbreak and was also not at full strength against number 3 Almere City. At a stroke of rest, Elias Sรธrensen headed hit from a stroke of Damon Mirani. Ten minutes before, Faris Hammouti took care of the 2-0, and

NEC won 2-1 from Go Ahead Eagles and settled with 16 points in the subtop. Javier Vet brought the Nijmegenaren ahead by shooting from close to inside. Early in the second half, Rangelo Janga from a corner doubled the margin. Luuk Brouwers made it exciting with the 2-1, but the team from Deventer was no longer able to equalize. Jacob Mulenga missed a great opportunity just before time on behalf of Go Ahead.

FC Volendam gets out of

FC Volendam won with very large numbers of FC Dordrecht (7-1) and climbed 15 points to the sixth place behind NEC. For Volendam, Francesco Antonucci, Derry Murkin and Samuele Mulattieri were (twice) confident. After Gianni Dos Santos scored for Dordrecht, it was again the turn of Murkin, Martijn Kandle and Dean James.

Three-point Telstar

Sebastian Soto shot Telstar in the second half past Helmond Sport. The American opened the score with a nice volley on display of Welat Cagro. A quarter of an hour later Soto made the 2-0.

Jong Ajax impresses

Jong Ajax won 5-1 at MVV Maastricht. The home team got ahead of Jerome Deom in the first half. Max de Waal equaled again two minutes later. In the second half the Amsterdammers were hit by Devyne Rensch, Nordin Musampa, Giovanni and Naci รœnรผvar. Just like Telstar and FC Volendam, Jong Ajax has 15 points.

The competition match between Jong FC Utrecht and TOP Oss was cancelled. At the Brabantse club on Friday, a few hours before the duel, a corona infection was detected at five players.
