Fans who are in Budapest on Sunday for the eighth European Championship finals can have a party on an Orange Fan Zone. Starting at 11:00am, supporters will be able to get into the vote for the competition, says the KNVB.
It is expected that between five thousand and ten thousand Dutch fans will travel to the Hungarian capital in order to be able to play against the Czech Republic. They can go to the Fan Zone with a negative PCR test before the competition and music is made by well-known artists.
At the City Park Ice Rink in Budapest, Charly Lownoise and Mental Theo, Kriss Kross Amsterdam, FeestDJruud and The Originals will take care of the musical lineup. At 3 p.m., the party is up and attendees start a three-kilometre walk to the Puskás Aréna, the ‘Fanwalk’. At 6 p.m., the Czechs will be kicked off.
By the way, CCEIT commentator Jeroen Elshoff reports that many more cards have been sold to fans from the Czech Republic and that fans of the Dutch team will be by far outnumbered.
According to UEFA people in Budapest, the Czechs have already taken cards in mass and will be heavy in the majority on Sunday.
