FC Barcelona announced the line-up for the Real Betis match on Sunday evening. Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong have strikingly fallen outside the basic self of Ronald Koeman.
The two played for 120 minutes in the cup battle with Granada, which after an extension of 3-5 was won by Barcelona. Messi and De Jong are not the only players who have disappeared from Koemans basic line-up. Also the injured Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti, Pedri and Francisco Trincão did not make it to the first eleven.
Óscar Mingueza and Clément Lenglet replace Roberto and Umtiti in the back. De Jong and Pedri are replaced by Miralem Pjanic and Riqui Puig. Martin Braithwaite and Ousmane Dembélé are on the front line together with Antoine Griezmann.
Betis and Barcelona will kick off at 9pm at Estadio Benito Villamarín. Barcelona won his own home earlier this season with 5-2 from the team from Seville.
