Koeman: ‘He also proved to be a great player at the Dutch national team’

Steven Bergwijn scored points with Ronald Koeman in the battle for the Johan Cruijff Scale on Saturday evening. The future Dutch national coach is positive about the Ajax attacker, who took care of the nice opening goal.
I know Steven very well, says Koeman, who awarded the Johan Cruijff Scale to PSV captain Luuk de Jong, to ESPN. In the last period with the Dutch national team, he has also proven that he is a great player. He certainly showed that at times today.
Bergwijn also marches in a two-burner system, says Koeman. Knowing him, its not a player who just plays on the line. He needs freedom. Then he is even more dangerous. He can be satisfied with his performance.
Koeman made his statements with Bergwijn in the neighborhood: the Ajacied happened to stand next to the national coach during the interview. I would say keep it up, Steven, says Koeman to Bergwijn, who is happy about it. That
s nice, of course, always. Thats what youre doing it for.
Other players also noticed Koeman in the Johan Cruijff Arena. Who, the future national coach doesnt want to say that. I keep that to myself. I dont want to start naming names from my position, I dont start mentioning names until January.
