Kökcü returns to Rotterdam earlier, Slot calls for replacement for training camp

Orkun Kökcü left Feyenoord‘s training camp prematurely. This has nothing to do with a possible transfer, the Rotterdammers report: Kökcü went home sick.
Since Monday, Feyenoord has been staying in Austria, in the run-up to the new season. At the end of the week, the Stadium Club will play a practice game with Red Bull Salzburg, but Kökcü will not be there. The Turkish international has returned ill to the Netherlands.
Trainer Arne Slot has summoned Dermane Karim to replace Kökcü. The eighteen-year-old midfielder has only been playing for Feyenoord for six months, but is known as a great talent. Last season, Karim made his debut in Feyenoord’
s first.
Where Karim knocks on the door in Rotterdam, Kokcü may walk out the door. The 21-year-old creative is associated with clubs such as Leicester City and is also open to a transfer himself. However, a longer stay at Feyenoord is also possible.
