Kum gets red again and takes Eredivisie record: ‘Little goes as I want, no’

Christian Kum had a Saturday night to quickly forget: the routinier of VVV-Venlo picked up his two red card of the season against AZ and the seventh (!) of his Eredivisie career. The Frankfurt-born defender did not turn around and put his hand in his own bosom.

Kum first mowed half along the ball and then worked the broken Myron Boadu against the ground. โ€œThis is a red card, stupidโ€, was his conclusion afterwards, after viewing the images in conversation with ESPN. โ€œThats the risk you have when youre a defender: you make a mistake once and theyre through it. And if you make a violation, then its red.โ€
The former player of ADO Den Haag, sc Heerenveen, FC Utrecht and Roda JC is not busy with his most happy season anyway, he also gives in equestrian. โ€œBecause Ive had moments like this before. During Ajax home here, with that big defeat (0-13, red.), I get a red card. Against PSV (4-1 defeat, red.) I give away a penalty, while we are ahead with 1-0. This is my season, where not very much goes the way I want it, no.โ€
VVV finally lost by 1-4 and now goes to visit Vitesse twice in a row. First the Arnhemmers and the Venlonars meet in Eredivisie context, then they compete for a place in the cup final.

7 – Christian Kum received his seventh red card in the Eredivisie, no player was sent off more often in the Dutch top-flight (Gregoor van Dijk and Joey van den Berg also 7). Dismissed. pic.twitter.com/E2gdht23o1
