La Gazzetta dello Sport: role in trade deal may be last Roma feat Kluivert

Justin Kluivert seems to have had his longest time with AS Roma. The wing attacker was already rented to RB Leipzig last season and is not needed under the new trainer Josรฉ Mourinho, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport: a trade deal with Leipzig may become his last achievement.
Kluivert played with Die Roten Bullen this season together with Marcel Sabitzer, who is very good at Mourinho and Roma. The 27-year-old midfielder from Austria enters his last contract year with Leipzig and can only earn a serious transfer payment this summer.
According to La Gazzetta, Roma is by no means the only club Sabitzer has in mind. However, the Giallorossi have a trump card with Kluivert: the Jong Orange-International can be involved in a trade deal to reduce the transfer fee for Sabitzer.
Kluivert exchanged Ajax for AS Roma in 2018 and will be under contract in the Italian capital until mid-2023. During the club season of 2020/2021, he had four hits and one assist in 29 official matches on behalf of Leipzig. Initially, it seemed insufficient to mention the purchase option in his lease agreement: however, the new trainer Jesse Marsch seems to want to keep Kluivert for Leipzig.
