Lamprou: “I couldnt resist this temptation, so I have to thank PEC”

Kostas Lamprou has finally completed his transfer to William II. The goalkeeper leaves PEC Zwolle after one year and returns to De Tricolores, whom he served between 2014 and 2017.
Earlier this month it became clear that PEC wanted to cooperate in a departure of Lamprou, on Tuesday afternoon both clubs reported an agreement in principle. In the meantime, the transfer that has been established at lightning speed has been sealed. When Willem II reported two days ago, it immediately started to itch. That feeling has not gone away. That‘s because of my relationship with the people and the city. At PEC I had it right, but I couldn’t resist this temptation. I therefore have to thank PEC for their cooperation in this step, Lamprou informs the club channels.
Thirty-year-old Greek has signed for two years and can prepare for his thirteenth and fourteenth seasons on the Dutch fields. There are more important things than a foreign adventure or a lot of money. For us as a family, we think it‘s best to stay here in the Netherlands, he says. It feels so beautiful, so familiar, I’m so happy to be back.
