Noa Lang is “very proud” on his call for Orange. However, the 22-year-old attacker knows he can do even better. Lang also talks about the conversation he had with national coach Louis van Gaal.
In conversation with Ziggo Sport, Lang gets asked what feeling he will travel to Zeist with. “With a lot of pride,” he replies. “A boy‘s dream has come true, I can represent my country. For me, it’s a confirmation that I‘m developing well. I only know about myself that I can and must do much better. At least it’s a step in the right direction.”
Long FaceTimede with Van Gaal. A potential role as a right-winger was discussed at the time. “I did discuss such things with the national coach,” says Lang, who states that he can play as a right winger. “I always say, if you‘re a good football player, you can get your feet in every place. I think I’m good from the right side too. When I started at Club, I played there. At Young Orange too.”
Lang was named Man of the Match when he faced Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé with Club Brugge. Yet the creative attacker sees that he has to prove himself at Orange. “I‘ve never been there before. I come in like someone who’s just coming to see. One match doesn‘t say much. I’m at Orange weekly with guys who play against such opponents. I showed it once now. One swallow doesn‘t make a summer, but I know I can do it more often.”
