‘Laporta wants to get rid of Koeman system and return to 4-3-3 formation of Cruijff’

FC Barcelona President Joan Lapporta wants the team to return to a 4-3-3 formation when Ronald Koeman stays on as a trainer. After the much discussed conversation between Lapporta and Koeman last week, it is still not certain whether the Dutchman will be active in Catalonia next season.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Lapporta also wants to see some changes in the way of playing Koeman. For example, the President of Barcelona has a strong preference for the 4-3-3 formation instead of the 3-5-2 formation that Koeman often used last season. The 4-3-3 formation fits well with the ideals of the club, says Lapta, who refers to the philosophy of Johan Cruijff.
According to Lapora, it is important that the game view next season is as close as possible to Cruijff‘s philosophy. Laporta wants to see an attacking strong Barcelona dominating matches. Laporta and Koeman have not spoken again since last Monday’s ‘the conversation’. The future of Koeman is therefore still unclear. In the meantime, the Catalan club assured the arrival of striker Serio Kun Agรผero and defender Eric Garcรญa. Both players come across from Manchester City.
