From Crytek documents it became known that originally the remaster of the first Crysis wanted to release in February 2020 — however, it was announced later, and the release took place in September. But much more interesting that the companys files mention plans for the release of updated versions of the second and third Crysis — they wanted to be released six months and a year after the first part, that is, in August 2020 and February 2021 respectively. Production reportedly dragged on due to the coronavirus pandemic and concern about the quality of the final release.
Moreover, the remaster of the first Crysis is still working — soon it is expected to release a major update. It is assumed that the updated Crysis 2 and 3 will be without multiplayer, and the main network project on the universe will be the battle royale Crysis Next.
