Leipzig size too big for Celtic, Salzburg leading after victory over Zagreb

RB Leipzig won 3-1 against Celtic on Tuesday. The game seemed to be heading for a while, but was still settled in German advantage, partly due to a major blunder by Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart. RB Salzburg was too strong for Dinamo Zagreb at 1-0 and can temporarily call himself a leader in Group E.
Leipzig, which is in a rough season in the Bundesliga, took the lead after 27 minutes on Tuesday. Christopher Nkunku, who would be in Chelsea‘s interest, made the opening goal beautifully. Just before, a goal by the Frenchman was rejected because of offside play. Shortly after the break, Celtic reached the same level. Striker Jota moved the ball quietly behind Leipzig goalkeeper Janis Blaswich.
Less than twenty minutes later, after a number of good chances, coach Marco Rose’
s team took the lead again. The lead role in the goal was for Hart. The goalkeeper kicked out dramatically, after which Andrรฉ Silva was able to score easily. In the 77th, Leipzig delivered the final blow. After a brilliant attack, Silva was able to make his second of the evening. Due to the victory over the fairly toothless Scots, the Germans are now third. Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk, the other clubs in Group F, will face each other at 9 p.m.
The other 6:45pm game between RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb was significantly less spectacular. The Austrians were the better team for a long time, but needed no less than 71 minutes to express that in the score. Salzburg received a somewhat easily given penalty, and did not miss that opportunity. Noah Okafor thus provided the only hit of the evening.
In the 93rd minute, the Croats still scored the equaliser. However, the goal was quickly rejected due to offside play. Salzburg leads Group E. AC Milan and Chelsea, the other two clubs, meet at 9 p.m.
