LinkedIn must return the judges removed profile of MP Wybren from Haga within three business days. Only nine previously deleted messages do not need to be restored, the judge says. There is no need for the rectification advanced by Van Haga either.
Van Hagas account was deleted, after he downplayed the corona mortality rate according to LinkedIn and said face masks dont work.
According to the court, that does not make clear where according to LinkedIn the line is between messages that are completely contrary to it and reports with critical caveats on those guidelines. Also, LinkedIn did not explain well enough why it objected to Van Hagas posts. It remained with a reference to the User Agreement.
“Opposition with open visor”
According to the court, the nine posts removed by LinkedIn do contain harmful misinformation. The messages can all respond to the feelings of people affected by corona restrictions and who are looking for arguments that could disqualify coronavirus policy, according to the judge.
According to the judge, a member of the opposition should also be able to fight the political fight with open mind. The governments policies should be criticized, but not undermined.
