LIVE discussion: two lost sons and four newcomers to Heerenveen-Willem II

The overture of the Eredivisie season 2020/2021 will not take place in De Galgenwaard, but in the Abe Lenstra Stadium. After the cancellation of FC Utrecht-AZ, sc Heerenveen-Willem II is the first league game of the season: at 6.45 p.m. there will be kick-off in the Abe Lenstra Stadium. Heerenveen starts with one newcomer per line: goalkeeper Erwin Mulder is back on the old nest, just like striker Henk Veerman. Defender Pawel Bochniewicz and playmaker Oliver Batista Meier also start. Eighteen-year-old Arjen van der Heide also makes his basic debut. The Frisians play with mourning bands, in connection with the death of Yvonne Spijkerman, the wife of assistant coach Hennie Spijkerman.

In the back, however, they are improvising, due to the absence of routines Jordens Peters and Freek Heerkens and of newcomer Leeroy Owusu.
