Festivalgoers have applied massively for the trial festivals of Fieldlab Events. The counter was already at 63.000 Monday evening at 19.00, told program manager Pieter Lubberts Monday evening in talk show Jinek.

The dates for the previously announced festivals were announced Monday afternoon. March 13th there will be a dance festival and on March 14th a pop festival will be organised, both on the grounds in Biddinghuizen where Lowlands will be held. โ€œIt really exploded. We didnt know what we were going through,โ€ said Lubberts about the number of applications. โ€œThat does indicate that people really need it.โ€

Too many applications

at the trial festivals can be 1500 people on both days, divided into groups of 500 people. Many festival goers who have signed up for it will therefore be disappointed. โ€œWe have to choose,โ€ says Lubberts.

The first trial of Fieldlab, an initiative from the cultural sector, took place on Monday during a congress at the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht. It is also tested with a cabaret performance of Guido Weijers and football matches. On Monday it was also announced that concerts will take place in the Ziggo Dome on 6 and 7 March.

At all test events, visitors must show a negative result of a corontest and temperature measurements are carried out at the door and, by random, a quick test. Each festivalgoer also receives a so-called tag on a keycord that records contact moments and the time of contact with other visitors.
